Introducing: Sherlock the Nightfury by sparrowcrazy Introducing: Sherlock the Nightfury by sparrowcrazy
This plushie has a bit of a special story... and a special purpose.

You see I have always had good grades in school and everything was always great, until suddenly something went awry and I started to get tired, I missed classes and I had trouble concentrating. Turned out the reason behind this is that I had anemia. So after that it became a struggle... to get back on my feet again and back to school and an active life. It took a long while.. but I think it's finally taking a positive turn I have more energy and more motivation and I want to get back into the turn of things.

But I figured I needed something to keep me going.. something that would remind me that I can do it if I have a bad day. So that's how Sherlock came to life.

He's my motivational buddy, he's that little friend that's always there with me.

I wanted to make something small, something that would fit in my pocket and be easy to carry around. This little nightfury easily fits in my hand if you fold his tail and wings around his body. He's filled with plastic pellets.. which makes him all floppy and posable. His head is filled the normal microfiber stuff.

I'm still amazed at how well he came out.

As for the name... he was originally gonna be Toothless, but I was watching BBC's Sherlock when making him and one thing led to another and I named him Sherlock. He might get a blue scarf eventually. So basically he's smart, rude and adorable. :XD: (And a cat hair attraction.. :O_o:)

He's still missing one tailfin in these pictures.. I wasn't sure if I would do a Toothless tail or not, but decided against it.

This is the first day he went with me to school.. and I went to the park during the lunch break and took some photos.

I will be making a photo diary with him.. after all he is becoming a little dragon adventurer from now on! ^^

wow the story behind this little guy is really touching and i hope you're feeling much better. I think it's great to have a little something to hold onto when you're feeling down
This is a true story so don't laugh okay. I was really scared about starting high school because none of my friends were going to the same one and ever since i was a baby i had this blanket (so smartly named Blankie) and it went with me everywhere (still does) i was almost tempted to put him in my backpack and take him to highschool with me. i actually did in like fourth grade but i guess Blankie is my Sherlock.
And it's awesome btw

Thank you, I do and I hope it will be getting better every day.=) I wouldn't dream of laughing, I know how it feels and there are some things that are just very special to us. For me it was and still is my plush cat that I've had since I was little. But he's too large and too old to drag along with me. ^^; Thanky you for sharing that.

Sharing it is no problem and i like people to know that keeping their baby safety blankets isn't odd and other people do it

Everyone needs something to hold on too.. why a blanket should be any stranger then other things I don't see. Some people smoke cigarettes because it makes them for comfortbale.. at least a blanket is healthier. :XD:

Oh my gosh, I can't believe you actually named him Sherlock! I'm pissing myself right now :happycry:

Indeedy do that's a good job for little Sherlock :XD: (Seriously can't say it without laughing, it's too adorable, and then I think of Sherlock from Elementary, and having a pocket sized him to carry around and he'd be whispering annoying quips in your ear all day and gahhhh, I want it too bad I need to stop!)

You're right, he turned out brilliant! You deserve a cookie for his utter fantastical-ness (totally not a word...) :cookie: He looks big in these photos though, I couldn't believe it when you said he fits in your hand!

:iconbravoplz: Well done my dear, you did a bloody bang up job!

I'm a name genius..:dummy: :XD:

Oh goodness that would be the most adorable thing ever! :XD: When I was little I actually wanted to find a lilliput sized Robin Hood (Kevin Costern style) for some reason..
I'm totally imagining him to come with annoying remarks and rude comments when I have him with me.. makes school so much more entertaining. I kept him inside my jacket, so his head was sticking out, when I was walking in the park. And people would go past and take one impassive look and then their faces would go like "what am I seeing?!"

Thank you! :D And I'm gonna grow very round after all this cookies! :dummy: Of course it's a word. :dummy: Hmm he rather does now that you mention it.. I will have to take some size comparison pictures..

Yay! :happybounce: (That clapping dude scares me. :O_o:) :lmao:

I know right?!?! I WANT IT!!! :iconsadeyesplz: Haha, that's hilarious! You wouldn't keep a hold on Robin Hood for too long though, he'd be off being sneaky and robbing from rich people, which would be even easier considering the sudden reduced size :P
Haha, oh gosh you probably made people think they were crazy! I'm imaging this face :iconwthamiseeingplz: :XD:

Well at least then people will stop telling you to eat more :lmao: Size comparison pics sounds great :D

Oh... okay, how about this one :iconbwavoplz: :XD:

We're gonna find our small Sherlock's! :dummy: And we're gonna keep them in a doll house and feed them cookied! Haha that'd be hillarious! Wolrd's tiniest pickpocket.

I know.. totally worth it.

Good point. :XD: I'll just have to get out to take them.. the light inside is horrible for taking pictures. :P

Aww much better! :D

Haha, dollhouse sized Sherlock's :XD: World's tiniest pickpocket  That's great! It should be a slogan for a really short Robin Hood :XD:

:lmao:

I know what you mean, natural light always looks the best. You should take some of him with your cat :lmao:

They should make a movie about a Robin Hood that got shrunk..

:XD:

 I would.. only I don't think I'd ever get all that cathair off him. >.< Seriously he's like a magnet to every cathair in the house. :XD:
